Lillian M. Woliski Seeley, 73, a lifelong resident of Hawley, died Wednesday at home following an illness. Her husband is Claude D. Seeley. They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary Oct. 4.

Born in Hawley, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Mary Garrity Woliski, she was a graduate of Hawley High School. Before retiring, she was employed by the Wallenpaupack Area School District, 24 years of which she was the secretary to the board of education. She was a charter member of the Tafton Fire Department and was a member of B.V.M. Queen of Peace Church and its Altar and Rosary Society. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and worked actively with the Cancer Relay for Life.

Lillian was a loving wife and mother and a wonderful grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family meant the world to her and she gave to them unselfishly. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mary Jo Hunt and husband, Phil, Hawley; and Susan Seeley-Lee, Tafton; five grandsons, Jason Hunt; Jonathan Schock and wife, Connie; Alexander Schock and wife, Suzana; Devon Schock and James Lee; a granddaughter, Jennifer Schock; eight great-grandchildren, Justin and Johnathan Quiles, Brianna, Gryphonn, Xander, Xathan and Xaiden and Destiny Schock; and three sisters, Joan Savage, Shirley Meling and Pauline Meinzer.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Edward Woliski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in B.V.M. Queen Of Peace Church, 319 Chestnut Ave., Hawley. Burial, parish cemetery, Hawley. Family and friends are asked to go directly to the church.
