Linn S. Seeley, age 94, a resident of Mariposa for over 33 years passed away, Sunday, December 11, 2005 at John C. Fremont Hospital in Mariposa.
He was born October 13, 1911 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late George and Minnie Seeley. Linn served in the U.S. Navy. Linn spent an excessive about of time volunteering, he enjoyed serving meals at the Senior Center. He was a member of the VFW. Linn also enjoyed gardening and loved helping people; he will truly be missed.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later time.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Mariposa Senior Center Building Fund - 5246 Spriggs Road in Mariposa; The United Methodist Church- P.O. Box 248 in Mariposa, CA. and John C. Fremont - P.O. Box 216 in Mariposa.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mariposa Funeral Home in Mariposa.

Linn Stuart Seeley - October 13, 1911 ~ December 11, 2005
Linn Stuart Seeley, 94, a 33 year resident of Mariposa passed away on December 11, 2005 at John C. Fremont Healthcare District in Mariposa. He was born October 13, 1911 to George and Minnie Seeley in Pontiac, Michigan.
Linn served in the Navy during WWII. He married and raised his family in Glendale, CA where he worked as a US Postal Supervisor until his retirement in 1972. Upon retirement, he moved to Mariposa and was an active member of the community until his passing. Linn was awarded the Mariposa County Senior Volunteer of the Year in May 2002. He was a lifetime Honorary Member of the Mariposa Golden Agers, an active member of the local Veterans of Foreign War's post, a lifetime member of the Bootjack Stompers Square Dance group and until his last few years could be seen several times a week at the local tennis courts.
Linn was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Marion, and his son Robert Linn Seeley. He is survived by his son, Daniel Stuart Seeley of Laguna Niguel, CA, granddaughter, Kimberly Linn Seeley of Century City, CA and grandsons Robert John and Nicholas Stuart Seeley of Laguna Niguel, CA.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Mariposa.
