Lizzie Henrietta Martin Seeley

Publication

Lizzie Henrietta Martin was born in Bolandaire County Ireland May 28, 1879. At the age of 12 years she moved to Clinton County, Iowa, with her father, her mother having died while she was quite young. A little later the family removed to Wallace, Nebraska.

She was married to George O. Seeley, at Tryon, Nebraska, March 18th, 1895.

After an illness of five days she died, April 22nd, 1910 at the age of 30 years, 10 months, 24 days.

The deceased leaves a brother and two sisters: Her husband George O. Seeley and two sons, Robert, and Johnnie, 13 and 6 years old to mourn the loss of a kind and loving wife and mother.

Mrs. George Seeley, of Omega, was called to her last resting place on the 22nd day of April, (Arbor Day) after an illness of less than one week. Mrs Seeley liked by all who knew her, being kind and gentle in manner and a lovable disposition. She had a large acquaintance in this locality, having lived about half way between here and North Platte for a number of years and all those who were hungry on their long trips to North Platte could find food and shelter at the Seeley home, which was always kept in the neatest manner.

A large crowd gathered at her late home on Sunday to listen to the funeral sermon conducted by Rev. Wagoner, of Omega. After the sermon which took place at 11 o'clock the procession proceeded to the Miller cemetery where the remains were laid to rest. Mr Seeley and family have the sympathy of the entire community in this, their saddest hour of bereavement.
