SEELEY – Louisa Rowland Seeley was born in Cardiff, N.Y., May 27, 1823. When thirteen years old she sought and found the Savior, with whom she walked in sweet companionship for fifty-two years. In whatever circle she moved it was with dignity and grace. On all she met she left the impress of a noble Christian woman. In 1861 she was united in marriage with Owen Seeley, of South Onondaga. Like two uniting streams of water, their lives blended and ran in sweet union until he was called to his reward eight years ago. Since then she has managed the affairs of her household with much ability. God had given them two children, whose intellectual and moral development received her constant care. Well has she been rewarded. The daughter was brought to Christ several years ago and the son at our last camp meeting. For several months Sister Seeley has been a patient sufferer from an undiscoverable disease. Through great pain and constant wasting of body she has been cheerfully waiting the time of her release. It came at the flight of night March 3, 1888. At 4 o’clock her spirit fled from the house of clay to a mansion in Heaven.
