LAKE CITY - Lucy J. Seeley of Kentwood, formerly of Lake City, died Monday, Sept. 13, 2004 in Flint at the home of her sister. She was 68.

She was born on March 16, 1936 in Lake City to Lloyd and Lila (Barger) Knapp. She married Howard L. Seeley on Dec. 20, 1972. He preceded her in death in 1996.

Mrs. Seeley enjoyed cooking, baking cinnamon rolls, making fudge and peanut brittle.

Survivors include her children, Lloyd Lajueness of Kentwood, George (Peggy) Lajueness of Washington, Rosemary Foster, Geraldine Nelson and Dennis Lajueness, all of Grand Rapids, and Shirly Ann Lajueness of England; stepchildren, Howard (Carla) Seeley II of Benton Harbor, Larry Seeley of Lake City and Barbara McCoy of Moorestown; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Vesta Wilkerson of Flint; sisters-in-law, Gladys (John) Pardee of Lake City, Dorothy Mosher of Lake City, Donnis Knapp of Georgia and Margie McCleese of Millington; brothers-in-law, Roy Keeley of Grand Rapids and Raymond (Betty) Seeley of Holt.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Wilma and Shirly; brothers, Gene and Pete; and son, Mark Lajueness in 1984.

Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Young Funeral Home in Lake City with Rev. Daniel Willis officiating. Burial is in Moorestown Cemetery.

Visitation is noon until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
