Lucy R. Seeley, 87, of 5 Westview Dr., Danbury, wife of the late James F. Seeley, Sr., died at her residence on Saturday.
She was born in Bridgeport, May 17, 1912, daughter of the late Daniel J. & Jane (Breen) Ryan. She was a graduate of Bridgeport schools and from Danbury Normal School in 1931. Mrs. Seeley had been a Danbury resident since 1940. She was a retired employee of the Barden Corporation. She retired in 1977 after having worked there for more than 35 years. She had been a member of the WestConn Alumni Assoc., the Danbury Music Center, the Richter Park Assoc. for the Arts and the Scott Fanton Museum Assoc.
She is survived by a son, James F. Seeley, Jr. of Danbury; a daughter, Betsy S. Ard of Bridgeport; 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and a nephew, Ronald Firth of Derby.
Private Funeral Services and cremation will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Contributions may be made to the Hanahoe Memorial Children's Clinic, 225 Main St., Danbury, CT 06810.
