Geneva – Mabel Seeley, 91, of Geneva died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001, at Rosewood Care Center in St. Charles. She was born Feb. 3, 1910, in St. Charles, the daughter of the late John and Hulda Johnson.

Mrs. Seeley was a member of the St. Charles Veterans of Foreign Wars Women’s Auxiliary.

She is survived by her brother, Arthur (Bert) Johnson of Geneva; her sister, Elsie Schmidt and a sister-in-law, Mary Johnson, both of St. Charles; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Seeley; one brother, Carl Johnson; and a sister, Helen Guzzino.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday Dec. 3, 2001, at the Yurs-Wittenberg Funeral Home, 1771 W. State St. (Route 38) in Geneva. The Rev. William Obalil officiated.

Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Geneva. Visitation was from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
