Charlton -- Majel A. Seeley, 88, of Edwin Drive, Charlton, died Sunday, November 14, 2004, at Maplewood'Manor in Ballston Spa.

Born in Melon, Wisconsin, August 21, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Byrhl and Amy Wheeler.

Majel was an active volunteer for many local organizations. She organized a Girl Scout Troop in Round Lake and worked with the troop for 18 years. She was on he committee which formed the Shenendehowa Central Schools. She founded a nursery school at the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church in Troy for under privileged children. She served as chairman of the Women's Legislative Forum in Albany under Governor Rockefeller. She was the president of the Ilium Literary Club in Troy and was president of the Women's Chiropractic Auxiliary. She was also an active member of the Presbyterian Church in Ballston Spa.

She was predeceased by her brother, Byrhl Wheeler; her sister. Belva Wheeler; and a niece, Betsy Wheeler.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, A. James Seeley; daughters, Arlene Pack and her husband, Howard of Strongsville, Ohio, and Ann Craft and her husband, Allen of Ballston Spa; two grandchildren, Brian Pack and Eric Craft; two great-grandchildren, Weston Pack and Nora Craft; nephew, Rodney Wheeler; and niece, Jody Wheeler.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
