SEELEY MARGARET PAINTER SEELEY (Age 90) of Arlington, VA died September 15, 2007 at the home of her daughter in Los Gatos, CA. Her Memorial Service is Tuesday, November 6 at 9 a.m. at the Ft. Myer Chapel, Arlington Cemetery, followed by an interment at the Columbarium, beside her deceased husband, Jay S. Seeley, Lt, USN. A reception follows. Contributions may be made to Mt. Holyoke College, Smithsonian Institution or American Cancer Society.

Margaret P. Seeley - Smithsonian Docent

Margaret Painter Seeley, 90, a docent at the Smithsonian Institution's Castle building from 1980 to 2006, died Sept. 15 at a daughter's home in Los Gatos, Calf.

Mrs. Seeley was a native of Wausau, Wis., and a 1938 graduate of Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts.

She settled in the Washington area in 1942 and was an Arlington County resident before moving to California this year.

Her husband, Jay S. Seeley, whom she married in 1942, died in 1985.

Survivors include four children, Elizabeth W. Seeley of Los Gatos, Margaret S. Seeley of Albuquerque and Jayne S. Seeley and Dwight C. Seeley, both of Denver; and two grandchildren.
