MARILYN ANNE HOVEY SEELEY

SUMMERTON, SC -Marilyn Anne Hovey Seeley, 72, of Summerton, SC, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, September 15, 2001 at her home. Born September 17, 1929 in Ithaca, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Anne Vesley Hovey.

Prior to retiring and moving from New York to South Carolina, Marilyn was employed at Ithaca College for 20 years as an executive secretary. She then left the college to help run the family construction business for many years. One of the joys of Marilyn's life in recent years was living in South Carolina where she was near both of her sons and where she was a member of the Summerton (SC) United Methodist Church. Marilyn was a wonderful mother and loving wife.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Paul T. Seeley of Summerton, SC who she married April 8, 1972 and would have been happily married to for 30 years this coming April. In addition, she is survived by her sons, Donald (Linda) Hunt, Jr. of Summerton, SC, Brion (Marsha) Hunt of Savannah, GA daughter, Nancy (Vince) Kotmel of Ithaca stepson, James (Kim) Seeley of Freeville stepdaughter, Ronda (Dennis) Foley of Freeville brother, Robert Hovey of Hollywood, FL and several grandchildren, step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Special thanks goes to Hospice Care of Tri-County (Sumter), especially Deb Embrey, for their guidance and caring through such a difficult time.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2001 at the E.C. Wagner Funeral Home of Ithaca, Rev. E.J. (Jimmy) Miller, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 18, 2001 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Marilyn asked that donations be made to the American Cancer society, PO Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057-0007.
