POUGHKEEPSIE - Mary B. Seeley, 79, of Poughkeepsie, formerly of Verbank, died Thursday, May 25, 2006 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was born August 15, 1926 in Poughkeepsie and was the daughter of the late Harold and Rita Meier Story. Mary provided a state community care home for mentally challenged patients for many years and had been an honorary life member of the Union Vale Ladies Auxiliary. On January 9, 1948, at St. Joseph's Church in Millbrook, she married Berlen Seeley, who predeceased her on January 15, 1997. She is survived by a daughter, Rita Hein and her husband, Gary of Poughquag, two sons, Ernest Seeley of Elvira, OH and Jim Seeley and his wife, Mary, of Poughkeepsie, with whom she made her home; three grandsons, Matthew Hein and his wife, Lisa, Russ Hein and Daniel Seeley; three granddaughters, Rebecca, Jennifer and Emma Seeley; and a great-granddaughter, Sarah Hein. She was predeceased by two sons, William Seeley in 1994 and Harold Seeley in 2000. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 30, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Home, 900 Rt. 82, Hopewell Junction, with funeral services to be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Trudy Codd officiating. Burial to follow in Verbank Cemetery, Verbank, NY
