STEWARTSVILLE -- Mary ''Eleanor'' Seeley died Sept. 24, 1997, at Warren Hospital. She was 77.

Born in Phillipsburg, she was a daughter of Romayne and Ila Rush Swenson.

She was a bus driver for 27 years for Polt Bus Co. in Glen Gardner before retiring in 1984.

She was a lifetime member of Montana Methodist Church in Harmony Township, where she was secretary of God's Willing Helpers and an original organizer of the Hunter's Lunch at the church.

She was an avid traveler.

A sister, Dot Allen, and a great-granddaughter, Kimberly Johnston, died earlier.

She is survived by three sons, Charles Seeley of Port Colden, Clifford Seeley of Jacksonville, Fla., and Dale Seeley of Washington; two daughters, Joan Johnston of Stewartsville, with whom she lived, and Mary Jane Petty of Dundee, N.Y.; a brother, Romayne Swenson of Tunkhannock, Pa.; a sister, Jeane Kruts of Washington; 11 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

Services were held Sept. 27 at the United Methodist Church in Washington. Cremation took place at H.G. Smith Crematory in Stroudsburg, Pa.

Arrangements were by DeVoe Funeral Service of Washington.
