In addition to her love of family and friends, Mum was passionate about life. No one made better cabbage rolls, apple pie or beef soup from the bone. She was always interested in the news of the world and was a great sports fan, especially when it came to those Riders. She was a whiz at cards and Tile Rummy. She was an animal lover and an avid supporter of the Humane Society. She loved seeing dogs and cats and babies, until the very end. She could never get enough of the sky, the sun, the trees, the flowers, the birds and the lakes. She was fond of saying Wonderful, wonderful, life is wonderful, isn't it?, her attitude until the end. She never lost her delight in music and was listening to Josh Groban as she passed away. Mary Josephine had the best of care in her final months. Thank you so much to Dr. M. Cameron for his compassionate and expert assessment of her care needs. He was the one who took action to have her admitted to Wascana Hospital, a Centre of Excellence for Palliative Care. Thank you also to Dr. Rasmussen and his crack team of medical experts on Ward 3 3. No one has received better end-of-life care than Mary Josephine Seeley.
