Mother of 13

MEDIA – Friends of Mrs. May P. Seeley of 220 N. Plum st., who died Tuesday morning at Bryn Mawr Hospital after a long illness, may call this evening at the M.F. Williams Funeral Home in Clifton Heights.

Mrs. Seeley, who was 62, was the mother of 13 children, seven of whom still survive.

Born in Wallingord, she spent her entire life in Delaware County. She was married to the late Edward M. Seeley of Drexel Hill in 1912 and settled with him in Addingham where he was employed as a weaver. After her husband’s death in 1943, Mrs. Seeley moved with a daughter and two unmarried sons to Media where she had resided ever since.

A member of Faith Chapel in Drexel Hill, Mrs. Seeley is survived by five sons, George of Springfield, Henry of Colwyn, Edward, William and Ronald, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Elmira McGoldrick of Glen Mills and Pearl at home, and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be tomorrow at 11 a.m. at the M.F. Williams Funeral Home, with burial in Arlington Cemetery, Upper Darby.
