Beacon – Michael A. Seeley, 84, of 24 Dinan St., Beacon, died Wednesday in Poughkeepsie.

Mr. Seeley formerly had been employed at the Dennings Point Brick Works of Beacon for more than 30 years. He later was a sexton at St. John’s Church, Beacon.

The son of John and Mary (Ratigan) Seeley, he was born in Stony Point, Dec. 22, 1886. He was a communicant of St. John’s Church and a member of its Holy Name Society. His wife, the former Edna Crusie, died in December, 1968.

Mr. Seeley is survived by a son, Michael A. Seeley Jr., Glenham; two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Loretta) Slinsky and Mrs. Philip (Helen) Mattracion, both of Beacon: a brother, Leo Seeley, Aberdeen, Wash.: a sister, Mrs. Cornelius Hurley, Poughkeepsie: nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Halvey Funeral Home, 24 Willow St., Beacon, tonight, 7 to 9 o’clock and Friday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Rosary will be recited on Friday at 8 o’clock.

The funeral will be Saturday at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home, with a High Mass of Requiem being celebrated at St. John’s Church. Burial will be in St. Joachim’s Cemetery, Beacon.
