Mildred Louise Sproat Seeley

May 4,1909-April 19, 2005

On April 19, 2005 Mildred, also known as Pat, passed away at Turlock Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Turlock, California at the age of 95. She was born May 4, 1909 in Pittsburgh, PA. She was the oldest of six children of Philip and Lottie Maye Sproat. Mildred, with her brothers Bud, Phil and Bill, and her sisters, Helen and Pearl, grew up near Evans City, Pennsylvania. Only her brother Bill of New Brighton, Pennsylvania survives her.

Mildred married Glenn Everett Seeley, September 3, 1931 at Pittsburgh. Their first home was outside of Pittsburgh, adjacent to South Park. Their daughter, Patricia Maye (Pat), and son Glenn Richard (Dick) were born at that country home. During these years Mildred picked up the nickname Pat. In 1947 Pat and Glenn moved from South Park to Portland, Oregon and in 1954 they moved to Downey, California. Glenn passed away in 1979 and in 1981 Pat resettled in Sun City, Arizona. She lived in Sun City for eighteen years. Pat moved to Turlock, California in 1999 to live near her daughter.

Three grandsons and three granddaughters survive Pat. Four are the children of her daughter Pat, and her husband, Bob Wade. Three of those grandchildren, Brett Wade, Brad Wade and Brenda Cotter live in the Turlock area. The oldest grandson, Bill Wade, resides in North Manchester, Indiana. These grandchildren gave Pat twelve (12) great-grandchildren.

Dick, and his wife, Virginia, have two daughters. These granddaughters, Debra McNamara of York, Pennsylvania, and Beth Butcher of Orlando, Florida, gave Pat five great-grandchildren.
