Friendship Man Succumbs Friday

Newell T. Seeley, thirty-seven, Friendship, passed away Friday evening at eleven o’clock at Rocky Crest Sanatorium, where he had been a patient for the past three years.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Grace Owens Seeley, and four children, Forrest, Newell, Betty Jane, and Marjorie Lou Seeley; two brothers, Edward M. Seeley, Olean; and Ralph W. Seeley, Bolivar.

The body was removed to the home of Mrs. Seeley’s brother, Theodore Owens, at the Obi. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at ten o’clock at the Sacred Heart Church, Portville. The Rev. J. Vincent Growney, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.

Newell Seeley Funeral Rites Are Held Today

Funeral rites for Newell Seeley, former Olean resident, who passed Friday, were held at the Sacred Heart Church in Portville this morning at ten o’clock, following a brief prayer service at the home of Mrs. Seeley’s brother, Theodore Owens, of Obi at nine-thirty o’clock. The Rev. J. Vincent Glowney, pastor, officiated. Burial was in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.

The pall-bearers were Maynard Stohr, Richburg, Donald Goodrich, Leslie Owens, Richburg; Richard Owens, Duke Center; Wesley Osterstuck, Allegany and Cleo Foster, Obi.

Relatives and friends attending the rites were: Mr. and Mrs. Edward Seeley, Ralph Seeley, Olean; Mrs. Vernon Owens, Duke Center; Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Stohr, Mrs. Bernice Sage, Richburg, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Morrison and daughter, Romayne, Mrs. E. Larson, Henry Larson, Mrs. Gordon Murray, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Johnson, Jamestown.
