Gun Discharge Takes Life Of Ex-Utah Resident, 15

PRICE – Nolan Stuart Seeley, 15, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Seeley, Carbondale, Colo., died of a gunshot wound received Friday at 11:45 a.m.

He was talking on the telephone in the Seeley trailer home in Cardondale when another youth discharged a pistol, apparently accidentally, striking Nolan in the right cheek and neck, according to Garfield County, Colo., coroner Jack Farnum.

Nolan was born March 22, 1946, in Castle Dale, Emery County, to Lee and Lavonne Nordell Seeley. He attended schools in Price and Carbondale.

Survivors include his parents; a brother, Stephen Lee, of Salt Lake City; a sister, Mrs. Harry (Sharon) Melton, of Orem, and a grandmother, Mrs. Delores Nordell, of Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Mitchell Mortuary, Price, where friends may call Monday evening and Tuesday prior to services. Burial will be in the Castle Dale Cemetery.
