Funeral services for Mr. Oscar Pogue Seeley Jr., 86, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, with Rev. Hyacinth Okafor, C.M., officiating.

Burial will be in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery under the direction of Fondel Memorial Chapel of Jennings.

Visitation will be held in the church from 9 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday.

Mr. Seeley entered into eternal rest Monday, April 14, 2008, at Oak Bend Medical Center in Richmond, Texas.

A native and lifelong resident of Jennings, he was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

Survivors include one son, Oscar Carter (Linda) Seeley Sr. of Barstow, Calif.; one daughter, Doretta (Norvell) Winslow of Richmond; four brothers, Howard (Johnnie Mae) Seeley of Ann Habor, Mich., Oliver (Geneva) Seeley of Los Angeles, Calif., Olean P. (Shelia) Seeley of Las Vegas, Nev., and Donald R. Seeley of Pocoma, Calif.; eight sisters, Audrey L. Lyons of Doy Les Town, Penn., Margaret (Lawrence) Simon of Jennings, Mary G. Prevost of Lakeview Terrace, Calif., Katherine Charles of Jeanerette, Alice L. Bray of Goodyear, Ariz., Norma J. Larry of Lancaster, Calif., Glory A. (Oli) Lovings of Houston, Texas, and Delores M. (Raymond Sr.) Wilson of Palmdale, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
