BROKEN BOW – Patricia L. Seeley, 75, of Halsey died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002 at Heritage Hall in Broken Bow.

Services will be at 2 pm Tuesday at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow with the Rev. Linda Martin officiating. Burial will be at the Merna Cemetery.

Visitation will be until 8 pm today at the mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to the Halsey United Church of Christ or the donor’s choice.

She was born Oct. 12, 1926 to Floyd and Opal (Small) Johnson on the honson Homestead near Merna. She graduated from Merna Public School in 1944.

She and Burdell Seeley were married Dec. 7, 1945, in Lincoln. They made their home on a ranch west of Halsey.

She was an active member of the church in Halsey and a charter member of the Merna Chapter of Eastern Star. She was a 4-H leader for a number of years. She was employed by the U.S. Forest Service Office in Halsey for more than 20 years and retired in 1977.

She loved to entertain. She enjoyed cooking, baking, playing bridge and going on gambling trips.

Survivors include her son, John of Halsey; daughters, Margaret Thompson and Patricia Anderson, both of Alliance, Marily Anderson of Dunning and Johna Eaton of Halsey; brothers Douglas Johnson of Long View, Wash and Bud Johnson of Mesa Ariz.; 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
