November 11, 2000, wife of the late George H. Seeley; daughter of the late James and Minnie Celburn; sister of the late James and Minnie Celeburn; sister of the late Florence Sarment; aunt of Yvonne Breman of West Henrietta, NY. Mrs. Seeley was a member of the Brookfield Club for over 50 years. Memorial service will be held at the Central Park Presbyterian Church, 15 Jewett Pkwy., Saturday, November 18, at 11 AM. PHILIMENA CELBURN SEELEY

Philimena Celburn "Billie" Seeley, 90, a volunteer worker for the American Cancer Society who played golf until her early 80s, died Saturday (Nov. 11, 2000) in St. Francis Geriatric Center after a lengthy illness.

Born in Pittsburgh, she attended schools in Angola, Buffalo and Monroe County.

She was a member of Brookfield Country Club in Clarence for more than 50 years and a past member of the Buffalo District of the Women's Golf Association. She also was a member of the Auto Club of Western New York, the University Heights Association and the Retired Women's Business and Professional Association.

She was chairwoman of the American Cancer Society golf tournaments in area clubs and in 1977 organized 18 golf clubs to participate in the annual event to raise funds for cancer research.

Her husband, George H., died about 10 years ago.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Central Park Presbyterian Church, 15 Jewett Parkway.
