Ralph E. Seeley

Ralph E. Seeley, 86, died Friday, June 21, 1996, at his home in Mulberry Courts in Abilene. He was born Oct. 16, 1909, at Tryon, Neb., the son of Walter and Minnie Davis Seeley.

He moved to the Marion, Kan. area in 1915 where he grew up. On. Nov. 30, 1932, he was married to Sarah Fleagle. The early years of their marriage were spent farming near Marion. Later they moved to Solomon. They then moved to Great Bend where he was employed in the oil fields with Dow Chemical Co. They returned to Abilene in 1965 to make their home at 1418 S.W. Second. Mrs. Seeley preceded him in death March 29, 1992. He was also preceded in death by one son, Elmer Costigan.

Survivors include four sons, Kenneth Costigan of Chapman, Edward Seeley of Flippin, Ark., Lee Seeley of Wichita, Charles Seeley of Salina; a sister, Lisa W. Dody of Marion, 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday from the Danner Funeral Home of Abilene. Burial will be in the Prairiemound Cemetery at Solomon. The family will receive friends at the Danner Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
