Of Alexandria, VA on July 2, 2005. Beloved husband of the late Pauline M. Seeley. Son of Letha D. Reader of Cortland, NY and the late Lawrence Seeley. Brother of Eleanor (Harry) Weldon of Dryden, NY. Also survived by two nieces, Diana (Ken) Morley and Denise L. Weldon; and one nephew, Keith (Julie) Weldon, all of Upstate, NY, and 7 great-nieces and nephews and many cousins. Service will be held at a later date in Upstate, NY. Contributions may be made to the Willet Cemetery Association, c/o Richard White, Willet, NY 13863. Local arrangements by DEMAINE FUNERAL HOME, Alexandria.

ALEXANDRIA, VA - Ramon L. Seeley, 62, of Alexandria, VA, passed away unexpectedly on July 2, 2005. He was born September 16, 1942 in Binghamton, NY, the son of Letha D. Reader of Cortland, NY, and the late Lawrence Seeley.

He graduated from Dryden Central School in 1960, Syracuse University with a BA in 1964 and the Law School in 1971, was a member of Zeta Psi Fraternity. He honorably served in the U.S. Navy as a full grade Lieutenant. He was employed for over 35 years as a Tax Law Specialist for the Internal Revenue Service in Washington, DC. He enjoyed traveling and was an avid golfer.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his sister, Eleanor (Harry) Weldon of Dryden; two nieces, Diane (Ken) Morley of Marathon, Denise Weldon of Auburn; one nephew, Keith (Julie) Weldon of Groton; seven great-nieces and nephews; and many cousins.

He was predeceased by his wife, Pauline Wright Seeley on September 2, 2000.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2005, at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland, with the Reverend Donald Wilcox officiating. Calling hours will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in Willet Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
