Richard Allen Seeley


Seeley, Richard Allen Jan. 8, 1943 to May 14, 2003 "Our hearts are saddened" Richard A. Seeley left us unexpectedly from heart failure while visiting family members in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born in Maywood, California and moved to Imperial Beach, California in 1990 to be near his brother, mother and father. Before moving to the San Diego area, Richard took up boxing and won several amateur titles. He then moved to the New England area and turned professional fighting under the "nick-name" the "Toy Bulldog", and was being groomed for a title fight until personal problems side-lined his career. He is survived by his daughter, Sherrie Lynn Seeley and granddaughter, Stephanie of Hacienda Heights, Calif., his brother Ben Seeley and sister-in-law, Maria Seeley of Imperial Beach, Calif., nephews and nieces, Joseph, Danny, and Maureen Seeley of Las Vegas, Nev., and niece Lorraine (Seeley) Wassiff of Brighton, England. Family and friends will hold a private memorial service in Huntington Beach, Ca. Time and place to be determined.
