RICHARD CARSON SEELEY, 84, of Hammonton, died Aug. 5 at his home in Kaiserslautern, Germany.

Mr. Seely taught mathematics for six years in the Maryland Public School system.

He completed 30 years as a junior high math teacher in the dependants' school system of the U.S. Department of Defense at the military base in Kaiserslautern.

For many of his years in Germany, he sponsored a photography club at the school and served as the teachers' union representative.

He earned his B.A. degree from Maryville College in Tennessee and an M.A. at the University of Tennessee.

As a Fulbright scholar, he studied one year at the University of Munster in Germany. He then served four years in the U.S. Army, assigned to Army Intelligence.

Mr. Seeley was an avid student of the history of World War II and of military aviation, and collected many photos, documents and other memorabilia.

Born in Hammonton, he was a graduate of Hammonton High School.

He is survived by a brother, Robert A. of Hammonton.

Services will be held 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Hammonton Presbyterian Church, 326 Bellevue Ave., Hammonton, where friends may call after services in the church lounge.

Burial will be held Friday at Greenmount Cemetery, Hammonton.

Arrangements are by Marinella Funeral Home of Hammonton.
