Richard C. Seeley, 71, of Hensonville [NY], died July 6 at his residence. He was born October 18, 1914 in Hensonville, the son of Clark and Martha (Barnes) Seeley. He was predeceased by his wife, Marguerite C. Seeley on April 4, 1983.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 9 at the Trinity Episcopal Church, Ashland, with Rev. Charles G. Rice, Jr., rector, officiating. Interment was in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Ashland [NY]. Memorial services were held by the Elks Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

Mr. Seeley is survived by three children: Mrs. John (Anne) Quinn Wallace of Dallas, Texas; Mrs. Kenneth (Marguerite) Stanton of New York City; and Richard C. Seeley, II of Hensonville; two sisters: Mrs. Marjorie Garcia of St. Mary, Florida and Mrs. William (Evelyn) Thetford of Del Ray Beach, Florida; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mr. Seeley was a member of the Elks Lodge No. 1341 of Catskill [NY]; was owner and operator of the House of Seeley's for many years which is one of the longest established restaurant businesses in Greene County; and a member of the Hensonville Hose Company.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Trinity Episcopal Church of Ashland. Arrangements were made by Decker Funeral Home, Inc., Windham.
