SEELEY – Richard J., 56, Conemaugh Township, Cambria County, died Sept. 26, 2008, at Memorial Medical Center, main campus. Born March 2, 1952, in Johnstown, son of the late Richard L. and Frances (Decker) Seeley. Preceded in death by brother, Kurtis; father-in-law, Walter “Jack” Gray; and brother-in-law, John Bala. Survived by wife, Margaret A. “Peggy” (Gray); and these children: Richard L. Seeley, Cherish Layton (Robert), Amber and Chelsea Seeley and Jessica Younkin; stepdaughter, Allison States (Jay), Harrisburg; brother, Edward Seeley; mother-in-law, Elaine “Dolly” Gray; sister-in-law, Jacqueline Bala; brothers-in-law, Michael T. Gray (Eileen), all of Johnstown; and Anthony Gray (Linda) of York. Also Kayleign White and Hayley Younkin, who always called him Dad. Also survived by these grandchildren: Alyssa Seeley, Laura Kane, Jesse Seeley, Cal Layton, and Camden and Parker States. Mr. Seeley was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Retired from Bethlehem Steel and was most recently employed at Christy Auto, Cover Hill Fireman Club and SNPJ Lodge 254. He was a member of SNPJ Lodge 254, Cover Hill, Solomon Run and Daisytown firemen’s clubs and Daisytown Sportsmen. Family will receive friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Geisel Funeral Home, Dale. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Geisel Devlin Memorial Chapel, the Rev. Father Robert L. Ruston. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Conemaugh Valley Regional Ambulance Association.
