RUTLAND - Funeral services for Richard Spaulding Seeley, 61, of Rutland who died Dec. 14, 2004, at his home were held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Christ the King Church in Rutland.

Officiating was the Rev. Reid C. Mayo, pastor.

Burial followed in St. Joseph's Cemetery with Rev. Mayo reading the prayers of the burial service.

Sister Pauline Gratton was the organist for the church choir. Reader was Joanne Slattery. Bearers were Wayne Young, Mickey Young, Daniel Young, James Kelley, Jack Flarety, James Mumford, Howard Lear and Fred Draglin.

Arrangements were under the direction of Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland.

Richard Spaulding Seeley

Richard Spaulding Seeley, 61, of Rutland, passed away peacefully at his home on Dec. 14, 2004, surrounded by his loving family.

Rick was born in Rutland, on Oct. 28, 1943, the son of Dr. Ralph H. and Mary Louise Seeley.

He was a graduate of Rutland High School, Tilton Academy and Castleton State College.

Rick, being an exceptional athlete in his prime, loved football, baseball, tennis and skiing.

"BASS" was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the Cleveland Browns.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Marie, three wonderful sons, Christopher, Brian and Peter, and his wife Colette and precious granddaughter Regan, two sisters, Linda Looker of Narragansett, RI, and Susan and her husband, William Cinnamond, of Somers, NY, several aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins.

Rick was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and will be greatly missed by all.

There will be no visiting hours.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11:00 am at Christ the King Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Reid C. Mayo, Pastor.

Private burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Rutland.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ the King school, So. Main St. or to Rutland Area Visiting Nurse Assn., P.O. Box 787, Rutland, VT 05702.
