Robert L. Seeley, 71, died Friday in the Masonic Home in Elizabethtown, Pa., where he had lived for over a year. He was a former resident of Philadelphia. He had been a life insurance agent for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. and had been employed in the Philadelphia School System and at Disston Saw Mill there.

A native of Grand Rapids, Mich, he was born May 1, 1899, the son of Frank J. and the late Mary Inez Hazzard Seeley.

He was a veteran of World War I, during which he served with the 11th Cavalry. He was a member of the American Legion and had been a member of the Masonic Lodge for nearly 50 years.

Survivors are his father, Frank J. Seeley of Canandaigua; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Stanton of Rochester and Mrs. H. Richard (Gladys) Kensil of Rochester, and several nieces and nephews.

A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Penn Yan. The Kennedy and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
