Rodney William Seeley, 50, of the 5600 block of Arlo Court, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001. Ron, a native of Norfolk, had spent the last 30 years in the automobile business, recently retiring from Advantage Dodge in Portsmouth.

He was dedicated to spending time with his wife of 24 years, Carol Sue Seeley and a granddaughter, Caroline, who lives with them. He was an envoy of Beta Sigma Phi and was predeceased by his father, Robert W. Seeley Jr.

He is also survived by his mother, Audrey Seeley of Chesapeake; a step son, John Hiltner of Baltimore, Md.; a brother, Mark Seeley and wife, Kathy, of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Jenny Frady and husband, Mike, of Chesapeake, and Laurie Spivey and husband, Robbie, of Virginia Beach; a sister-in-law, Leslee Jennette and husband, Ed, of Norfolk; nieces and nephews, Robin Godbout, Jessica Mckinney, Bradley Seeley, Michael Southerland, and Kimberly Seeley.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Altmeyer Funeral Home, Virginia Beach Chapel, by the Rev. James Bradshaw of Christ First Community Fellowship. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
