POQUOSON - Ronald W. "Ronnie" Seely, 61, a native of Hampton and resident of Poquoson passed away Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009.

Ronnie was a graduate of the Class of 1965 from Poquoson High School. He played football for Poquoson High and was considered an outstanding a defensive player. He went on to graduate from the NNSDD Co. Apprenticeship School and later served as a supervisor in X42 department. He enjoyed sports of all kinds and was an avid "Redskins" fan! But, there was only one real love in Ronnie's life and it all centered on "Little Ronnie Jr."

Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Luther J. Seely Sr.; and a brother, Luther "L. J." Seely Jr.

He is survived by his beloved son, Ronald Wayne "Little Ronnie" Seely Jr.; his loving mother, Eleanor E. Seely; two brothers, Nelson R. Seely and wife, Frances V., and David Seely and wife, Linda; two sisters, Linda J. Fox and husband, Delbert, and Rhonda Smith and husband Arnie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home, Poquoson and other times at 22 Bells Cove Road, Apt. A, Poquoson. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home by the Rev. Norman Tippens. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Wachovia Bank, 2 Victory Blvd., Poquoson, VA 23662 "In Care of Ronald W. Seely, Jr.".
