Ruth Eileen Seeley, age 87, of Greeneville, passed away this morning at the home of her daughter.

Ruth Eileen Seeley, 86, went to sleep in Jesus on Wednesday morning at 8:00 July 20, 2011 at 220 Goddard Drive Greeneville, TN. She was born in Piqua, Ohio, the daughter of Roy Thomas Dunn and Inez Arlene Brown Dunn, on August 7, 1924. She married her next door neighbor, Ronald Marion Seeley, on June 22, 1947. They were blessed with 3 daughters, Kathy, Sandy, and Sherril. Eileen was an Elementary school teacher in private Christian schools and an active pastor's wife. In 1994 they made the decision to retire and she and Ronald moved to Greeneville, TN to be near their daughter, Kathy. While in Greeneville together with her husband Eileen was active in giving Bible Study Classes and she taught Sabbath School classes in the children's department at the Greeneville Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
She is survived by three daughters: Kathy Seeley of Greeneville, Sandy Hawkins of Denver, Colorado, and Sherril Seeley of Winfield, Illinois; grandchildren: Margarette Hughes of Kentucky, Shantha Seeley and Chad Owens of Greeneville, Karen Baker and husband, Chris of Seattle, Washington, Andrea Hawkins-Daarud and husband Justin of Seattle, John Hawkins of Austin, Texas, and Marc Nacker and Chelsea Nacker of Winfield, Illinois; great grandchildren: James McMahan and wife, Leslie of Midway, Benjamin McMahan and Sophia Mackey of Greeneville, and Kendall Baker of Seattle, Washington; and her great-great granddaughters: Kayleann McMahan and Chloe McMahan.
She was the daughter of the late Roy Thomas and Inez Arlene Brown Dunn and was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Marion Seeley.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Greeneville Seventh-Day Adventist Church with Pastor Dave Smith, Pastor Jeremy Arnall, and Chaplain Jan Leffers officiating. The body will lie in state for 30 minutes at Greeneville Seventh Day Adventist Church preceding the service.
Interment will follow in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
Her pallbearer will be Chad Owens, Marc Nacker, Mike Seeley, Tim Seeley, and Tom Culler.
John Hawkins, Justin Daarud, and Chris Baker will serve as honorary pallbearers.
