Mrs. Kenneth Seeley

Mrs. Kenneth (Ruth) Seeley, 54, of 946 Union street, Benton Harbor, was pronounced dead on arrival at 9:01 a.m. this morning at mercy hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack at her home.

Mrs. Seeley was born Sept. 18, 1910, in Fennville, the daughter of Nathan and Mattie Morrey. She graduated from Fennville high school and was married to Kenneth Seeley in January of 1930 in Fennville. They moved to Benton Harbor shortly after their marriage and had resided here since then.

She was employed by Michigan Fruit Canners for several years, attended the Free Methodist church and was a member of the Women of the Moose, chapter No. 406.

Besides her husband, survivors include a son, Danny; three brothers, George and Nathan Morray, both of Grand Rapids, and Oliver Morrey of Chicago; five sisters, Mrs. Cora Crowner and Mrs. Alice Ripka of Grandville, Mich., Mrs. Gladys Segar and Mrs. Helen Love of California, and Mrs. Jane Butts of Grand Rapids; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were incomplete this morning at the Frost funeral home. Friends may begin calling Saturday afternoon.

Seeley Rites Held

Funeral services for Mrs. Kenneth (Ruth) Seeley, 54, of 946 Union street, Benton Harbor, were held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Frost funeral home.

The Rev. M.E. Andrews, pastor of the Free Methodist church, officiated.

Casket bearers, all nephews, were Nathan and Richard Morey, Erwin, Edwin and Marvin Crowner and Richard DeHaan.

Burial was in Crystal Springs Memorial Park.

The Women of the Moose, chapter No. 405, conducted rites at the funeral home Sunday evening at 8 p.m. with the following members officiating: senior regent, Mrs. John Rider; junior regent, Mrs. Clyde Wesson; chaplain, Mrs. Frances Walters; and junior graduate regent, Mrs. Arthur Vieritz.

Mrs. Seeley died July 16 at her home of an apparent heart attack.
