Mrs. Seeley, In Her 93rd Year

Ill for some time, Mrs. Frederick B. Seeley, 92, who resided at 186 Main street, died here, yesterday. Mrs. Seeley was a descendant of the late Myndert Harmanse Van Der Bogart, who was one of the early settlers in this city. His son, Jacobus Van Der Bogart gave the land for the present Courthouse in 1747. He also gave the land for the first Dutch Reformed church building at Main and Market street in 1716, the deed for which was recorded in 1718.

The former Miss Sarah Crum, Mrs. Seeley was born in this city, Jan. 7, 1859, the daughter of the late Jacob and Anna Carlon Crum. Her husband died in 1937. She and Mr. Seeley had observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1936.

Surviving are two sons, George M. and Robert M. Seeley, here, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 20 Smith street, at 2:30 o’clock, Thursday. The Rev. Morris L. Husted, minister of Hedding Methodist church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Poughkeepsie Rural cemetery, under the direction of the McCornac Funeral service. Friends may call tomorrow night.
