Redding – A celebration of live for Sterling L. “Dag” Seeley, 90, of Redding will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Redding Elks Club.

Burial will be at Lawncrest Memorial Park in Redding.

Mr. Seeley died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center in Redding.

Born July 3, 1911, in Alvin, Texas, he moved to Shasta County in 1961 from Bahia, Brazil.

He was a start-up operator in the petroleum industry for Kellog Construction & Engineering Co. and a former owner/operator of Dag’s Drive-In Restaurant in Redding.

Survivors include sons L.N. of Altadena, Tony Perry of Denver, Bill Perry of Memphis, Tenn, and Ben Perry of Lake Jackson, Texas; daughters Carol Goold of Fullerton, Mary Biggs of Pasadena, Texas, and Connie Glover of Angleton, Texas; brother Joe of College Station, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Redding.
