Thelma "Lou" Seeley of Edwardsville, Kansas went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday June 9, 2009 at her home with her family by her side. Funeral Services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday June 13, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home with private committal to follow at a later date. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service also at the Funeral Home. Lou was born on Jan. 31, 1944 in Denver, Colorado to James D. and Thelma L. (Folsom) Brese. She lived most of her life in the Kansas City and Edwardsville area. Lou worked for Edwardsville Manor Nursing Home for 19 years. After retiring she was a housewife and homemaker, raising her three grandchildren. On June 1, 1963 she married LeRoy Seeley in Kansas City, KS., spending 46 years together sharing their lives in Love. Lou was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Joseph W. Brese and one grandson Keenan Seeley. She is survived by her husband LeRoy Seeley of the home, two sons Keith Seeley and his partner Mary Kyle of Ozawkie and LeRoy "Tim" Seeley of Lathrop, MO, four sisters Brenda (Leon) Patton of Calera, OK, Patricia Williams and Sandra Brese of Bokchito, OK. Pamela (George) Brune of Leavenworth, KS, three brothers James (Sherry Brese of Nortonville, KS, Tommy (Wilonna) Brese of Kansas City, KS, John Brese of Coalgate, OK, five granddaughters Cynthia Seeley and Autumn Seeley of Nebraska, Amber Seeley of Topeka, KS, Kara and Kyanne Seeley of Lathrop, MO, one grandson Christopher Seeley of Ozawkie, KS. Services for Thelma “Lou” Seeley, 65, Edwardsville, were Saturday, June 13, at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, Bonner Springs. Committal was private.

Mrs. Seeley died Tuesday June 9, 2009, at her home.

She was born Jan. 31, 1944, in Denver, the daughter of James D. and Thelma L. (Folsom) Brese. She lived most of her life in the Kansas City and Edwardsville area.

Mrs. Seeley worked for Edwardsville Manor Nursing Home for 19 years. After retiring she was a housewife and homemaker, raising her three grandchildren.

On June 1, 1963 she married LeRoy Seeley in Kansas City, Kan. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Keith Seeley and his partner, Mary Kyle, Ozawkie, and LeRoy “Tim” Seeley, Lathrop, Mo.; four sisters, Brenda (Leon) Patton, Calera, Okla., Patricia Williams and Sandra Brese, both of Bokchito, Okla., and Pamela (George) Brune, Leavenworth; three brothers, James (Sherry) Brese, Nortonville, Tommy (Wilonna) Brese, Kansas City, Kan., John Brese, Coalgate, Okla.; and six grandchildren.
