STORMVILLE – Vincent A. Seeley, a former Stormville resident, died Friday at the Patrick Henry Health Care Center in Newport News, Va., where he had lived since 1980.

Mr. Seeley, 71, was a chemical technician at Texaco’s Beacon Research Center in Glenham for 35 years until his retirement in 1974.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in World War II, and was a member of the J. Morris Gorring American Legion Post 427 in Wappingers Falls. He was also a member of St. Denis-St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction.

Mr. Seeley was born in the City of Beacon on April 20, 1913, the son of Joseph Seeley and Margaret Ambury Seeley.

He was married in 1940 in Poughkeepsie to the former Louise Berinato, who died Jan. 11, 1977.

Surviving are a daughter, Sandra S. Empert of Gloucester, Va.: a son, Vincent M. Seeley of Catskill (Greene County): a sister, Katherine V. Buchanan of Newburgh: four grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours at the Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Home, Route 82, Hopewell Junction, will be Monday, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the St. Denis Church, Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction, where a Mass of the Christian Burial will be offered.

Burial will be in St. Denis Cemetery, Hopewell Junction.
