Services for Wallace Robert Seeley, 80, of Canton are pending at the Lind Funeral Home in Jamestown, N.Y.

Burial will be in Panama Union Cemetery in Panama, N.Y.

He passed away Dec. 11, 2011, in Athens.

Mr. Seeley was born March 12, 1931, in Township of Harmony, N.Y., to Charles Horace and Marjorie Morey Seeley.

He graduated from Panama Central School on Jan. 4, 1951; he was inducted into the U.S. Air Force and served three years, one year being in North Africa as a radar operator. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. Following his discharge he was employed by Automatic Voting Machine Co. and later Agway. In 1978 He moved to Texas where he was a self-employed carpenter.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Lois Ann Seeley of Canton; son, Mark and Mariann Seeley; daughters, Alicia and Mark Lamb, Michelle and Rex James and Kathy and Trevor McNabb of Canton; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Wallace was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Kenneth Reid; and brother, Roger Seeley.
