Walter A. Seeley, 84, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004.

A life resident of Norton, he retired from the City of Barberton, and was a World War II Army veteran, serving in the 1st Division Infantry. Walter was a life member of Barberton V.F.W. Post 1066 and American Legion Post 407.

Preceded in death by his wife, Mildred, he is survived by daughter, Rebecca (Larry) Kominar; stepson, Donald (Mary) Winland; grandchildren, Denise, Michelle, Tanya, and Melissa; six great-grandchildren; brother, William (Mary); sister, Leona Smar; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Irene Byers.

Funeral services will be held Friday, 10 a.m., at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, with Pastor Don Davies officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Cemetery, where military services will be conducted by Firestone V.F.W. 3383. Visitation Thursday, 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Care Center.
