UNIVERSITY PARK, Wash. - Wanda Seeley, 59, formerly of Plymouth, passed away on Monday (June 25, 2001) at St. Joseph Hospital in Tacoma, Wash., from a brain aneurysm. Services were held in Tacoma, Wash., June 30.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 5, at First United Methodist Church, Plymouth, with the Rev. Doug Anderson officiating.

Wanda Seeley was born Nov. 19, 1941, the daughter of George W. and Martha (Myrt) Seeley in Mason City. She graduated from Plymouth High School in 1959. Wanda graduated from the University of Iowa in 1963 and the Mayo School of Physical Therapy in 1965.

Wanda went to Tacoma, Wash., to work as a physical therapist. She enjoyed her work, especially working with people.

Wanda enjoyed flowers, nature and being at home. She played the saxophone in school and also played piano for Sunday school.

Survivors include her parents, George W. and Martha (Myrt) Seeley of Plymouth; two brothers, Gerald Seeley of San Francisco, and Dale Seeley of Garland, Texas; and four aunts, Nellie Lunde, Mrs. Donald Seeley, Esther Marken and Helen Marken.

Wanda J. Seeley, age 59, passed away on June 25, 2001. She was born in Mason City, Iowa and raised in Plymouth, Iowa. After graduating from the University of Iowa in 1963, she attended Physical Therapy School at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Upon graduation in 1965, she moved to Tacoma, WA. She worked as a physical therapist in a local hospital for 19 years and then for Group Health in their Home Health Department until the time of her death. Wanda is survived by her parents, George and Martha Seeley of Plymouth, Iowa; an older brother, Gerald of San Francisco, CA; a younger brother, Dale of Garland, Texas; and a multitude of friends. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 30, 2001, Mt. View’s Celebration of Life Center, Aspen Chapel. Remembrances may be made to the Humane Society in her name.
