Lee’s Summit, Missouri – Mr. Ward A. Seeley, 76, former Dewey resident, died Saturday, May 18, 1991 in Lees Summit, Missouri.

Mr. Ward was born on July 23, at Castle Dale, Utah to Azel Ward and Ivo Cecelia (Rassmussen) Seeley. He grew up and received his education in the Uinta Basis area in Utah. He served with the United State Army/Air Corps during World War II. Mr. Seeley was married to Kathryn Imogene Bawcom on February 28, 1945 at Oklahoma City. They made their home at Salt Lake City, Utah and Mr. Seeley was employed with Wiscombe Painting Co. He also traveled working on Norwest Dams and later returned to Salt Lake City where he went into partnership with his brother in Steel Coatings, Inc. They moved to Cole Camp, Missouri where they bought a Cattle Farm. Mr. and Mrs. Seeley then moved to Warrensburg, Missouri where they lived from 1978 until June of 1983. Mrs. Seeley proceeded him in death on July 29, 1983. Mr. Seeley has made his home at Lees Summit, Missouri since 1986. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Mr. Seeley is survived by two daughters: Dianne Higgins, Lees Summit, Missouri; Darla Schulz, Bartlesville; two sons: David Seeley, Lees Summit, Missouri: Douglas Seeley, Crestview, Florida; two brothers: Cloyd Seeley, Bountiful, Utah; Devon Seeley, Granger, Utah, one sister, Maxine McKee, Salt Lake City; 12 grandchildren.

The family will be receiving guests at the Stumpff Funeral Home from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services for Mr. Seeley will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Park Cemetery with David Seeley of the Latter-Day Saints Church of Lee Summit, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home.
