Rev. Wilbur S. Seeley, 90, died Monday, March 25, 2002 at the James G. Johnston Nursing Home. He was born on September 10, 1911. He is predeceased by his wives, Susan E. Addy Seeley and Doris Seeley. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Dr. George Riley, Harker Heights, Tex.; son and daughter-in-law, John and Nancie Seeley Jamison, Pa.; brother, Howard Seeley, Alabama; two sisters, Eleanore Seeley and Ruth Chestnut, Brynmawr, Pa.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. Wilbur was ordained in 1943 in the Evangelical United Brethren Church. He served churches in Western N.Y. and South Central N.Y., including Immanuel Church 1962 to 1970, Conference Council Director 1970 to 1974, Boulevard United Methodist Church 1974 to 1977 where he retired and was appointed as Pastor Emeritus of the Church. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 12 noon at the Barber Memorial Home, Inc., 428 Main St., Johnson City. The Rev. C. Earle Cowden will officiate. Burial will be in Ivy Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia, Pa. The family will receive friends on Friday at 11 a.m. until the time of service at the Barber Memorial Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Memorial Fund of the Boulevard United Methodist Church, 113 Grand Blvd., Binghamton, N.Y. 13905.
