WILLIAM D. SEELEY

William D. Seeley, 67, a field engineer with AlliedSignal Inc. who had worked for the company at the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt for 29 years before retiring in 1994, died of lung cancer May 27 at Washington Adventist Hospital. He had lived in Hyattsville since 1965.

He had worked on the design, installation and maintenance of electronics equipment.

Mr. Seeley, a Navy veteran of World War II, was born in New York state and grew up in Philadelphia. He was a graduate of the Capital Radio Engineering Institute in Washington, where he also had taught.

He began his electronics career in 1950 with Bendix Aviation, a predecessor company of AlliedSignal. He worked for the companies in the area, Alaska, Europe and North Africa and traveled extensively around the world. He returned to the Washington area in 1965 from Texas.

Survivors include his wife, the former Beverly Beavers, whom he married in 1960 and who lives in Hyattsville; a brother, Richard, of Martinsburg, W.Va.; and a sister, Marjorie Greenway of New Carrollton.
