Schenectady - William F. Seeley, 74, of the Providence Care Center, Lenox, MA, formerly of Schenectady, died Tuesday, May 14, 2002 at the center after a long illness.

Mr. Seeley was born in Schenectady. He served in the Army and was employed as a clerk for the New York State Labor Department and the Department of Tax and Finance. Prior to this, he was a security guard for Wackenhut and an orderly at Ellis Hospital.

He is survived by his former wife, Joan Ravas Seeley; one daughter, Sandy M. Seeley of Schenectady; two brothers, Thomas O. Seeley of Schenectady and George E. Seeley of Rotterdam, several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, Agnes M. Bell.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral which will be conducted Saturday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the Gleason Funeral Home, 730 Union Street and at 11 o'clock at St. Joseph's Church, State Street, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. A calling hour from 9:30 until 10:30 will precede the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Schenectady.
