William J Seeley

William J. Seeley, a resident of Peru for 72 years, died in his home on Madison avenue in the Bloomfield addition, this morning at nine o'clock after a four months' illness.

Mr Seeley came to Peru from Ohio at the age of three years with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. James Seeley. He was born on May 26, 1859 being 75 years of age. He was engaged in construction work for many years, but in recent years had engaged in farming. His first wife died in 1908 and he remarried in 1922.

Surviving besides the widow, Mrs. Emma A. Seeley, are a brother, Edward Seeley, Peru; a half-sister Mrs. Emma Markerm, Goshen, and two half-brothers, James and W. Seeley, of Ohio.

The body was removed to the Costin & Son funeral home, where funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Mt Hope cemetery.
