Chester - Bill, 89, died February 11, 2008 at Sky Harbor due to Alzheimer's disease.

William Leroy Seeley was born to Henry and Millie Seeley on November 30, 1918 in Chester, SD.

William (Bill) married Anna Mae Bauman on May 25th, 1941. They farmed near Chester until 1954 then moved into Chester to start a custom service work operation until 1963. Bill was a member of the United Methodist Church in Chester.

In 1963, they moved to Orange County, CA where Bill ran a semi truck hauling dirt until 1974. He then entered into a fertilizer-hauling business with his family.

Bill retired in 1980 to Yucca Valley, CA. Bill began restoring antique tractors and had many hobbies, including welding wind chimes; for which he was noted in the front pages of his local newspaper.

Before Bill was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, he and Mae enjoyed many years of travel, while touring the many sights of the country. The last few years they enjoyed their summers at the family farm in Chester.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter-in-law, Patsy; his sister, Bonnie; and his brother-in-law, Chuck Hobbs.

Grateful for sharing his life are his wife, Mae of Yucca Valley; his brother, Merlin (Betty) Seeley of Orange, CA; his oldest son, Roger (Karen) Seeley of Chester, SD; his younger son, Jack Seeley of Orange, CA; five grandchildren, Dawn (Mark) Aspaas of Sioux Falls, SD, Julie (Mark) Steffen of Tea, SD, Darin (Andrea) Seeley of Findley, OH, Tony Seeley of Orange, CA, and Wendy Rich of Joshua Tree, CA; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
