MASON CITY — William “Bill” Seeley, 84, of 516 20th St. S.E., died Friday (Jan. 06, 2006) in Mason City.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. with the Rev. Alan Sheldon of the First Church of Christ officiating.

Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the funeral home on Wednesday.

Memorials may be directed to the William “Bill” Seeley Memorial Fund.

William “Bill” Seeley was born on April 13, 1921, in Arlington, the son of Frank and Ethel (Gleim) Seeley.

He moved to Mason City with his parents as a young boy and graduated from Mason City High School.

After graduation, he attended Pacific Bible College in San Jose, Calif.

Bill worked in Minneapolis, Minn., for Marquette Bancshares for over twenty years until his retirement. After his retirement he moved to back to Mason City.

Bill served as an interim pastor for several churches in the Mason City area over the years, which he enjoyed. Bill was very active in all aspects of his church and taught Bible school for many years. He was a long-time member of the First Church of Christ.

Survivors include nephews and nieces: John Myhr and wife Julie, of Chaska, Minn., Brian Myhr and wife Grace, of Bethesda, Md., Jerry Myhr and wife Karen, of Prescott, Ariz., Barbara Jensen and husband Ken, of Decorah, Kathy Seeley and Karen Barr, of Roanoke, Va.; brother-in-law, Derwin Myhr and wife Eleanor, of Anacortes, Wash.; and sister-in-law, Alice Seeley.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ethel Seeley; brother, Clyde Seeley; and sister, Elizabeth Myhr.
