C. Seely, Retiree Of CPT, Dies

Clare O. Seely, 83, of 36 Harold St., a retired employe of Chicago Pneumatic Tool in Franklin, died at 3:07 p.m. Wednesday in Oil City Hospital.

He was born May 9, 1892, at Wallaceville, a son of Dayton and Jane Cram Seely, and lived his entire life in this area.

Mr. Seely was employed by National Transit Co. before he joined CPT in Franklin. He works 30 years at the Franklin plant, retiring in 1958.

He was married December 23, 1919, to the former Hazel F. Toy, who survives.

Mr. Seely was an avid hunter and fisherman and he was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Army in France.

Several nieces and nephews survive, in addition to his wife.

One brother, Willis Seely, preceded him in death.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Hutchinson and Martom Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Rev. Harold D. Kelley, pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church, will officiate

Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.
