Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Jean Elizabeth Seely peacefully passed Wednesday February 15, 2012, in Spokane, WA. She was born to Neil Andrew Revier and Betty Sarah Cummerford on October 6, 1925 in Spirit Lake, ID where she lived and attended school until she was a sophomore in high school. She then moved to Spokane, WA where she attended and graduated from Mary Cliff High School. She was married to Melvin Raymond Seely on September 28, 1946. Jean was preceded in death by two of her children, Linda Ann and Susan Jane, and two brothers, Jack Revier and Bob Revier, and was widowed in March of 1999. She is survived by two sisters, Peggy Walters and JoAnn Brown. She is survived by three of her children, Melanie and (Don) Powers, Doug and (Linda) Seely, and Teresa and (Pat) Kunz. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Jennie and (Craig) McNett, Carrie Adams, Mi-Mi and (Matt) Heilman, Amanda and (Nate) Graham, and Kevin Kunz and eleven great-grandchildren, Julia, Geena, Riley, Jaeger, Audrey, Katelyn, Eli, Natalie, Lainee, Von and Gracie. The family wishes to thank the Fairwinds staff and Hospice of Spokane for their care and compassion. A mass and celebration of Jean's life will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1104 W Heroy Ave, Spokane, WA 99205. A luncheon will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Poor Clare Sisters, 4419 N Hawthorne St., Spokane, WA 99205 or Hospice of Spokane. Jean enjoyed doing for others and was generous with her time and talents. Her humor and strength will be missed. She never lost her sense of humor. Right up until the end if you would have asked her how she felt, she would have said, "with my hands".
