Joan Kirstine Seely


Funeral services for Joan Kirstine Seely, 51, of Spencer, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Grace United Methodist Church, Spencer.

Mrs. Seely died Monday at her home in Spencer.

The Rev. Jerry Brown will officiate at the service for Mrs. Seely, and interment will be at Pleasant View Cemetery, Hartley.

The Warner Funeral Home, Spencer, is in charge of the service arrangements.

The daughter of Lou and Coila Norland Jensen, Mrs. Seely was born April 8, 1935, in Linn Grove. She grew up in the Moneta area, and graduated from high school in 1953.

She married Stuart Seely on Sept. a, 1956, in Fort Dodge. They lived in a number of communities throughout their marriage, because of her husband’s military service. They lived in Spencer since June, 1984.

A member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Mrs. Seely was a Stanley dealer for three years. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Stacy of Virginia Beach, VA.; one daughter, Julie Seely of Sioux Falls, S.D., and one brother, Robert Jensen on Moneta.
